Guiding Your Waste Collections: Steps for Safe and Efficient Handling
At Rubo - Hazardous Waste Management, we are committed to facilitating your hazardous waste collection process in a way that is both safe and efficient. We understand the importance of proper waste handling for the well-being of our environment and your operations. Follow these straightforward steps to ensure a successful waste collection experience:
1. Check Waste Packaging:
Prior to collection, inspect your waste packaging thoroughly. Ensure it is in good condition, free from leaks, and that caps or lids are securely fastened. This step is crucial to prevent any potential spills or leaks during transportation.
2. Secure Waste to Pallets:
To facilitate transport, securely fasten your waste containers to pallets. This ensures stability and safety during handling and transit, reducing the risk of accidents or damage.
3. Label Your Waste:
Clearly and accurately label your waste containers. Proper labelling aids in easy identification and classification, minimizing the chances of errors during the collection and disposal process.
4. Prepare Waste Consignment Note:
Print three copies of the Waste Consignment Note and Continuation List. Keep one copy for your records, provide one to the carrier, and another to the disposal site. This documentation is essential for tracking and regulatory compliance.
5. Load Waste onto Collection Vehicle:
Load your waste containers onto the collection vehicle, ensuring that the quantities match the information provided in the Continuation List. Make any necessary amendments to the list by hand.
6. Confirm Secure Transport:
The driver will verify that the waste is securely fastened to the vehicle. This step confirms that your waste will be transported safely to its destination.
7. Sign the Consignment Note:
On all copies of the Waste Consignment Note, sign Part D - Consignor's Certificate. This confirms your responsibility as the waste consignor.
8. Driver's Confirmation:
The driver will sign Part C - Carrier's Certificate on all copies of the Waste Consignment Note. This signifies that they have taken possession of the waste for transportation.
9. Record Keeping:
Retain one copy of the Waste Consignment Note for your records. Provide the remaining copies to the driver for submission to the carrier and disposal site.
By adhering to these steps, you contribute to a smooth, secure, and environmentally conscious waste collection process. At Rubo, we're here to support you at every stage. Should you have any questions or require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
